Critically discuss the key elements of positive practice relationships with children and their families. The environment where we live and operate has a great impact in our lives. Equally for children, their living and operating environment has a great influence in their lives and must be ensured, safe and healthy. The childââ¬â¢s physical environment is full of potential and opportunities for them to learn about things, people and other children. This learning can inspire, encourage or challenge the child. It is therefore the duty of educators to make this environment comfortable and interesting to children, thus providing a rich opportunity for children to achieve experience, learn and develop. Early childhood assessment includes making observation, documenting and making other assessment strategies. According to Couchenour and Chrisman ââ¬Å"effective teaching of young children begins with thoughtful, appreciative, systematic observation and documentation of each of the childââ¬â¢s unique qualities, strengths, and needsâ⬠(2013, p. 339).
